We would like to congratulate our Varsity Boys Basketball team for becoming the new S.M.A.L. league champions, our Varsity Girls Basketball team for taking 2nd in the S.M.A.L., and our J.V. Boys Basketball team for being the S.M.A.L. league champions this year.

Congratulations to both boys and girls varsity teams who have made playoffs this year.

The Pilots upset St. Patrick/St. Vincent 38-29, but fell to overall No. 1 Salesian 61-43 in the championship game of the BSAL tournament. Two of their seven losses have come to the Pride this season. As the No. 1 seed in the NCS Division V playoffs, St. Joseph will take on Leadership this Wednesday.
2 Head Royce Oakland 22-3 3
It was a busy week for Head-Royce, but it came through unscathed after beating College Prep (59-39, 54-37) and St. Elizabeth (73-45). The Jayhawks will take on St. Vincent this Wednesday in the NCS Division V playoffs.
3 St Francis Cntrl Coast Cath Watsonville 24-1 1
The week started with a 65-49 win over Aptos, but ended with the Sharks’ first loss of the year to Santa Cruz 40-31. Robby Gibbs had 16 points against Aptos. St. Francis will play York or San Francisco Christian on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the CCS Division V tournament.
4 Victory Christian Carmichael 23-3 6
Wins over Foresthill (80-22) and Woodland Christian (74-24) make four wins in a row for Victory Christian and will play Elliot Christian on Wednesday in the SJS Division V playoffs. Nathan Coppernoll had 41 points last week.
5 San Francisco University San Francisco 22-6 8
University made a jump in the rankings after defeating Drew (85-36), Marin Academy (79-41) and Stuart Hall (68-59). Next up is Fremont Christian on Wednesday in the first round of the NCS Division V playoffs.
6 Branson Ross 18-6 4
Playing in its league tournament, Branson lost its opener to Terra Linda 46-41 to fall in at No. 6 in the rankings. In the upcoming playoffs, the Bulls are a No. 3 seed and will face Urban on Wednesday.
7 Valley Christian Academy Roseville 23-4 NR
Ryan Cordell had 21 points and seven rebounds to lead Valley Christian to an 84-42 win over Faith Christian. He also added 18 points in the 77-69 win over Bradshaw Christian. The Lions take on Big Valley Christian this Wednesday.
